My husband and I purchased a home in Deforest Park 2 years ago and I am amazed and inspired by the hard work of the Neighborhood Association executive board. I hope to serve a fraction of the measure that Joni, Darlene and Dan have served. This is a public THANK YOU for making our neighborhood a great place to live.

We moved in NLB in 2008 because we were tired of paying high rent. We were able to purchase a bank owned home that needed a little work. However, it was our home and we dealt with the stigma of being in NLB. Too make things worse, we lived near the old abandoned Theater on 59th and Atlantic. We were always calling the Police about druggies and other things. We knew that one day a Library was coming and today we can see it every morning. We are grateful that North Long Beach is improving and I am excited of the new things to come. Thank you Vice Mayor Richardson for advocating for your people here in NLB and making it a better place to live

We moved to Uptown almost 3 years ago and we are very excited to see all the great things coming to this part of Long Beach. The Farmer’s market is a great Friday night outting for our neighborhood. Maybe more events on that corner would be awesome! Its a great apace. I want to just thank all the people that have worked so hard to bring it to the north! It is much appreciated!
