In the past few weeks, we have been updating you on the Fire Department’s plans to restaff our rescue units because of the elimination of the Rapid Medic Deployment (RMD) pilot program.
We have recently learned that their plans include downgrading Rescue 12 at Fire Station 12 which will lessen the quality and level of service to North Long Beach residents.
This means that our fire services in North Long Beach are in danger of being cut. The time for action is now. Come find out what this means for you and your neighbors at our next city council meeting.
I’m asking you to join me at our next City Council meeting to help protect North Long Beach.
On Tuesday, October 6th, I will be asking the city and the fire department how they plan on protecting North Long Beach. Click here to read my Council Item. I want you to join me.
The city needs to hear from you on the importance of maintaining our fire services in North Long Beach. You can make a difference and help keep our community safe.
Join me on Tuesday, October 6th at 5:00 PM at City Hall and voice your concerns. Click the URL to sign-up to save our services.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Rex Richardson
