Vice Mayor Rex Richardson's Weekly Letter

Dear Friends,

“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11."  — President Barack Obama

On this solemn day, it is a sacred obligation for each of us to remember those who lost their lives, recognize all who survived, honor the sacrifices of the first responders and recovery workers, and recapture the spirit of unity and service that arose in the immediate aftermath of the attacks. Never forget; United We Stand.

This week, please join us for an Air Quality Community Meeting on Wednesday, September 13th from 6-7:30 pm at McKinley Elementary School (6822 Paramount Blvd).
Finally, we have two neighborhood association meeting remaining this week:

  • Ramona Park Neighborhood Association, Monday, September 11th, 7:00 pm at the Ramona Park Community Center (3301 E. 65th St.)
  • Hamilton Neighborhood Association, Wednesday, September 13th, 7:00 pm at Hamilton Middle School (1060 70th St.)
  • Grant Neighborhood Association, Thursday, September 14th, 7:00 pm at the District 9 Field Office (6509 Gundry Ave.)
