Mayor Bob Foster’s office has announced the launch of the Long Beach Get Your Business Online (GYBO) campaign. This is a great opportunity for Long Beach businesses to create their own website for free.

  • 97% percent of Internet users look for goods and services online.
  • 62% of California businesses do not have a website.
  • Over the next three years, businesses that make use of the web expect to grow 40% faster than those that do not.

Thanks to Google and Homestead, participants can choose from more than 200 website templates, a custom domain name, and web hosting—all completely free for one year from the day you create your account.

Setting up a website through the program only takes approximately one hour. Mayor Foster’s office is currently working on setting up a GYBO workshop for hands-on instruction as soon as possible.

For more information, visit Long Beach’s GYBO website built through the program—LongBeachGYBO.com. If you have any questions about the program, or to sign up for the workshop, please contact the Mayor’s office, at gybo@longbeach.gov or call 562-570-6801.
