#ActivateUptown: Long Beach

We invite you to Activate Uptown and enjoy North Long Beach in a whole new way!

On October 1st, enjoy a FREE, open-streets block party with live music, activities, food, live mural installation, youth basketball tournament, a children's arts & crafts area, giveaways and more.

Activate Uptown will take place right in the streets, along Artesia Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue. Artesia Boulevard will be open to people walking, biking, and playing in the street, and closed to car traffic. Myrtle Avenue will showcase a reimagined streetscape with temporary features (including a bike boulevard and traffic circle) that make walking, biking, or skating easier, safer and more enjoyable. Come check them out!

Additionally, we have promises of delicious food vendors, local retail vendors, sidewalk chalk art, a classic car display by Pharaoh's Car Club, and a custom Harley Motorcycle showcase by Dirtbag Baggers.

At the corner of Artesia Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, the event will connect to Village Fest featuring: Murs & The Pharcyde at #ActivateUptown. There will be a variety of musicians and featured activities related to STEM/STEAM programming for children of all ages.
